Sir Philip Green got his knighthood from New Labour "for services to the retail industry", even though he chooses to pay his taxes in Monaco. He owns a 12 seater Gulfstream and, according to this, it will be used to transport the McCanns and their ever-growing entourage from Faro to Rome, where they will be see the Pope.
I bet one of those seats will be occupied by " Clarence "what's my job" Mitchell. Interestingly, in all the reports I've seen, no-one says that Green is providing this transport for nothing. Here, the Guardian's reporter, confirms that the plane is "OWNED" by Sir Philip. And here, the BBC tells us that the "private plane is PROVIDED by a well wisher. Even on Gerry McCann's "blog", nowhere does it mention who pays, merely that "we have accepted the kind offer of the USE of Sir Philip Green's personal jet".
There's over a third of a million quid in the McCann coffers and no public scrutiny as to how it is being used. The parents intend to keep their Mark Warner "base" available until they decide they can return the the UK, and in the interim, travel round Europe on an extended junket
According to this , Madrid, Seville, Berlin and Amsterdam are on their itinerary-though not, I suspect, Leicestershire Council's social service department .
I share your concern in respect of whether Leicestershire Social Services have Mr and Mrs McCann and any other irresponsible members of their travel party on their radar.
Do please see the following online petition, which you are welcome to distribute if you wish:

What were these two people thinking of??.out pouring of greif overtaken by their total lack of responsibility, and selfishness.
To expect everyone to support them beggers belief.Lets hope this poor little soul is found safe and well, and able to put this terrible ordeal behind her.and that two people may learn to protect their children, and to think of them, before themselves

WHY WHY WHY IS NO ONE LISTENING TO ANTONIO TOSCANO, HES A PRIVATE DETECTIVE/INVESTIGATIVE JOURNALIST WHO HAS INVESTIGATED PHEDOPHILE RINGS AND HAS CRACKED 14 OUT OF 15 CHILD ABDUCTION CASES!! HE HAS TOLD THE POLICE AND THE SUN NEWS PAPER HES 100% CERTAIN HE KNOWS WHO HAS MADELEINE, BUT THE POLICE ARE NOT LISTENING AND TRYING TO MAKE HIM OUT TO BE A HOAX AND MAD MAN AND THE MCCANNS AND CLARENCE MITCHELL WONT LISTIN THEY PASSED HIS DETAILS ONTO POLICE AND WERE APPARANTLY UPSET WHEN HE WOULDNT NAME WHO HE SUSPECTS OF HAVING MADELEINE. PERSONAL VIEW: I THINK THE POLICE ARE IN ON THIS AND I THINK THE MCCANNS ARE STUPID NOT TO LISTIN TO HIM. I WOULD LISTIN TO HIM OVER THE POLICE WHO LETS FACE IT DONT SEEM TO BE GETTING ANYWHERE.

No Jacqueline, I won't sign the petition.
Why?
Have you read it recently? I've no doubt there are some thoughtful people behind some of the signatures, but there are way too many jokesters.Too many for such a serious subject.

I had a brief look at the petition site, and I have to say I was a little surprised at the comments. For most of the posters, it seems they rebutt an argument by taking issue with another posters spelling. I won't add my name to such a mess.

I had heard about this petition and I think it is disgusting. No-one is guilty until proven so. I have no idea if the McCanns are guilty are not. You have to remember that the other two young children have just lost their Sister and are in an emotional state, they don't need to be taken away from their parents. I am sure that there is any reason that they should be taken away, the police and social services would be capable of doing it without busy bodies organising petitions like this.

The McScams have proven themselves totally negligent as parents. Their remaining kids should be removed by the Social Services. If this were a less eloquent, less educated family this would have been done way back in May.
