I could have felt sorry Sir Digby Jones at his last CBI booze up. I resisted.
Greenpeace had spoiled his party. There was fatso, with Tony Blair waiting in the wings to throw the nuclear switch, when suddenly all the 24 hour news channels could see were the Greenpeace banners "No the Nuclear".
Clearly fatso had his head so far up Tony Blair's backside, he seemed to forget himself.
No, he wanted the democratically elected Prime Minister to speak. Hang about. The Prime Minister is NOT democratically elected. He is elected by the constituents of Sedgefield. I wonder how democratic is Blair's leadership of the Labour Party. Only those members of the CBI who were also members of the Labour Party had a vote. And I guess they are as rare as hen's teeth.
Trust me,retirement is a better option Sir Digby!
